It is customary to classify them according to their use, structure and engine type and working volume.
Different countries have different ways of classifying motorbikes. The international standard (ISO 3833-1977) classifies motorbikes into two categories according to speed and weight: dual-purpose motorbikes and scooters. In China, there are two broad methods of classifying motorbikes: one is to divide them into mopeds and motorbikes according to displacement and maximum design speed. Mopeds have an engine working volume of no more than 50 ml and a maximum design speed of no more than 50 km/h. Motorbikes are two- or three-wheeled motorbikes with an engine capacity of more than 50 ml and a maximum design speed of more than 50 km/h. Another way we divide motorcycles into three categories: two-wheelers, side-tricycles and front tricycles, according to the number and position of the wheels.
It is customary to classify them according to their use, structure and engine type and working volume. If the motorbike is to be used for short-distance travel within the city, it should be a compact, compact microbike or moped with a speed of less than 50 km/h. If you need to travel frequently between urban and rural areas, and can ride with two people, you should use a motorbike with a working volume of 125 to 250 ml. For poor road conditions, high speeds or general competition, use an off-road motorbike.
Sports motorbikes
Sports motorbikes are also known as sports cars. They are designed to be used for leisure and holiday purposes, as a fun vehicle and as a means of experiencing life's pleasures. The range of sports motorbikes is very broad, and the super sports motorbikes and touring motorbikes described below have the function of sports motorbikes and can therefore also be classified as such.
Road motorbikes
Motorbikes used mainly on paved roads are called road motorbikes. Road motorbikes can be divided into three main categories, namely supersport motorbikes, touring motorbikes and American motorbikes. These are also known as urban motorbikes as they are mainly used on smooth paved roads. The concept and scope of application of road motorbikes is also very ambiguous and may actually be better called regular motorbikes. Structurally, road motorbikes are only suitable for use on paved roads, on which they perform optimally, while on the other hand, they have many difficulties when driving on unpaved areas. In contrast, off-road motorbikes can also be classified by location of use as touring off-road motorbikes and urban off-road motorbikes.
