The vehicle should be in good condition, with no missing parts, and the paintwork, chrome plating and galvanised parts should be bright and free from scratches. The vehicle should have a certificate of conformity and a product manual, and the spare parts and tools should be accepted according to the packing list. Then carry on the start check, under the room temperature, cold car start no more than three times, hot car should be a foot pedal start success. When the engine is running, there should be no abnormal and knocking sound, stable idling speed and no leakage of petrol and oil.

2. Inspection and adjustment of parts

(1) Front wheel brake. The front wheel brake is operated by the right hand, first check its free travel. The so-called free travel, that is, from the start of the action of the hand to the brake began to work until the section of travel. Stroke is too small before the brake shoes and the front wheel brake drum can not all disengage, affecting the speed of travel; stroke is too large, affecting the braking efficiency can not brake in time.

(2) rear wheel brake. The rear wheel brake is operated by the foot pedal, first of all, the free travel of the brake pedal should be checked.

(3) Clutch. Clutch is generally operated by the left hand, check its free travel when adjusting.

(4) Rear shock absorber.

(5) Rear drive. The rear drive adjustment is mainly to check the tightness of the drive chain (drive belt). Check the middle position between the front and rear sprockets (pulleys) by plucking the chain up and down with your fingers to see how far it moves up and down, 10-20 mm for small motorbikes and 20-30 mm for ordinary motorbikes. For triangle drive belt tightness, press the belt by hand [with 49 Newtons (5 kg force)] and the belt sags 10 to 20 mm.

(6) Carburetor idle speed. Idle speed is the lowest stable speed when the engine is unloaded, and the engine can be kept running continuously when the throttle handle is placed in the minimum position. Adjustment, first start the engine, gradually turn the throttle handle, check the free travel of the throttle handle, generally set at 2 ~ 6 mm, such as turning not more than 2 mm, the engine speed on the rise, that the free travel is too small; such as turning the stroke more than 6 mm, the engine speed is still not increased, it means that the free travel is too large.
